Art Connections
Art Connections is a new project - initiated and managed by Chrysalis Arts - to develop and support creative businesses in the visual arts, crafts and public art sectors across North Yorkshire. Art Connections supplies a range of specialist training, mentoring, advice, information and marketing services and publishes a bi-monthly e-newsletter containing information from a wide range of visual art sources.

Creative Coast is the creative industries network for the North Yorkshire Coast. The aim of the network is to connect, resource and promote the activities of designers, web developers, artists, writers, musicians and other creatives working in the Scarborough, Whitby and Filey area. Formed in 2006, Creative Coast currently has over 90 members and a programme of monthly events.

This annual event aims to celebrate and resource the re-imaging of Scarborough as it grows into its new role as a home to the growing community of digital businesses, high-tech education and innovative artists & musicians. Digital Scarborough 2006 was a success, with guest speakers such as Matt Locke, the Innovation Director of the BBC. The event is sponsored by Yorkshire Forward and the LSC via Aimhigher North Yorkshire.

The University of York - Creative Industries
The University of York has a reputation to rival Oxford and Cambridge. It is consistently ranked in the top ten universities for both teaching and research quality, with 18 out of 23 departments being judged as world class by the governments UK Research Assessments Exercise. With planned new expansions for 2007 to include a Theatre, Film and Television Centre, the University's contribution to the Creative Industries is going from strength to strength.
