Cosmic Park, a massive new development by Gladman, is the largest industrial and warehouse development currently under construction in the UK totalling around 1,600,000 sqft when completed. Four large units on the complex are available for Distribution and Logistics purposes ranging in size from 147,700sqft to 666,000sqft.Logistics Institute
Hull University, in neighbouring East Yorkshire, houses a £20m Logistics Institute for the study of logistics and supply chain management.

The Logistics Institute will be one of the few truly world class centres of excellence in global logistics, supply chain management and related technologies, and will be a focal point for all logistics related education and development needs, working with organisations of all sizes and type. It will provide an interrelated suite of activities comprising leading edge research, interlinked academic degree programmes delivered via various modes, short courses, business outreach and support, and technology development and demonstration.
Yorkshire Rail Academy
The Yorkshire Rail Academy (YRA) is a partnership initiative between York College and the National Railway Museum and is supported by major rail companies. Through its employer engagement and partnership working approach the YRA aims to work closely with the rail industry in meeting its skills needs.

Whilst the YRA's main function is to meet these needs across the whole of the rail industry, York College's Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) provides for the specialist skills required for rail engineering with a focus on signal engineering.
