  • Commercial Law Firms

2007 is set to be a busy period for commercial law firms in York & North Yorkshire. Firms are already reporting high levels of activity, according to Andrew Lindsay, corporate department partner of York - based Denison Till. He said: "This trend demonstrates the underlying economy is buoyant in spite of job losses at businesses such as Nestle, Norwich Union and British Sugar. Large businesses in York & North Yorkshire now recognise they no longer need to go to London, or even Leeds, to access high-quality corporate legal advice." Denison Till had 170 sets of corporate instructions during 2006, a substantial increase on the previous year, of which 40 per cent were from new clients.
