The BA Festival of Science is coming to York

We are pleased to announce that in September 2007 York will host the annual BA Festival of Science - Europe's largest Science Festival.

The 2007 Festival, organised by the BA (British Association for the advancement of Science) in partnership with the University of York, will host over 150 events and involve over 400 of the world's best scientist and science communicators.

The Festival aims to connect people of all types to both celebrate the sheer excitement of the latest developments and engage in open discussion about issues of interest and concern regarding scientific advance.

In 2005, over 39,000 people visited the Festival held in Dublin, with millions more hearing highlights from the festival through extensive media coverage.

The Festival's content will be based around three areas - The Main Programme, The Young Peoples Programme and the Festival in the City - creating a wealth of activity and interest for one and all.
