Banks Sadler Steams Ahead with Contract at the National Railway Museum
Under the contract Banks Sadler will offer conference delegates at the NRM and regular museum visitors special low rates that they have negotiated with local hotels. The contract provides a significant boost to the service offered by the NRM and is being hailed as an important success by Banks Sadler in the company's drive to expand in the north of England.
Banks Sadler, opened its Northern headquarters in York in March 2005 in a bid to win a growing slice of the accommodation and events management business in the north of England. The London-based company already boasts an impressive list of household names amongst its clients including IBM, Royal Bank of Scotland, Price WaterhouseCoopers and Novartis. Last year the company organised 170 events in 27 countries and organised 7,000 accommodation bookings with a £45 million spend into the conference and incentive tourism market.
york-england.com, the dynamic business organisation set up to attract inward investment to North Yorkshire, helped Banks Sadler find the right business premises for their new office in Clifford Street, in Central York when they decided to move to North Yorkshire last year.
Leigh Jagger, Managing Director of Banks Sadler said: "We are thrilled to have won this contract with the National Railway Museum. It is a great boost for our York office to be working with such a prestigious local organisation. Coming to North Yorkshire was one of the best decisions we have ever made and being located in the heart of the historic City of York is a real bonus for us. Thanks to the efforts of york-england.com the new office was set up in double quick time and with no hiccups. The service and support that we received from york-england.com was really second to none."

The company's decision to open their Northern headquarters in York has provided an important addition to the business mix in the area and we are delighted to have been able to help. We had to react in a very short time scale from receiving the enquiry from Banks Sadler, but it has been a really interesting project for us."
