John Yeomans Appointed as New Chair of york-england.com
Leading local businessman John Yeomans has been appointed as the new Chair of york-england.com, the dynamic organisation set up to attract inward investment to York and North Yorkshire. He replaces Brian Percival who is stepping down from the position.
A Solicitor and well known figure in the local business community Mr Yeomans is Senior Partner of Harrowell Shaftoe, one of the largest legal firms in York and North Yorkshire, and Founder and Chair of the York Professional Initiative, an organisation set up to help promote York as a centre of excellence for professional services.
Mr Yeomans who is passionate about the York and North Yorkshire economy is also a member of a number of other professional and charitable boards including Science City York, York Against Cancer, Venturefest Yorkshire and the York Business and Education Forum managed by the North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership, NYBEP. He has been an elected Member of York City Council and Sheriff of the City.

Next week york-england.com re-launch their website which will provide an unrivalled source of information on York and North Yorkshire for potential investors. It will also include an innovative new commercial property database that allows businesses to carry out online searches of commercial property available across York and North Yorkshire.
