york-england.com, the Inward Investment Board for York and North Yorkshire, were awarded Best Business to Business Website at the Insider Yorkshire Digital Awards 2007, an event organised to showcase and recognise the talents of the regions dotcom entrepreneurs and businesses.
The event, which took place on the 3rd May at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, was attended by over 320 guests working in and around the IT and Digital sector and displayed the great strength of the business sector across the Yorkshire and Humber region. The guests were entertained throughout the evening by compere Peter McCormick OBE of McCormicks Solicitors, Harrogate, and enlightened into the true significance of the regions IT and Digital sector by Jim Farmery Head of Innovation at Yorkshire Forward.
york-england.com faced tough competition in their category from a range of interesting and exciting website but came out tops with reasons for its success being attributed to its ease of navigation and clarity.
Launched at the end of March this year www.york-england.com, designed and built by York based Designition Ltd, outlines the great opportunities that York and North Yorkshire has to offer businesses looking to relocate to the area. The site boast many key features such as information on the support networks available for specific business sectors, an online property search allowing users to carry out their own searches for commercial property available and a Google based property map.
