Federation of Petroleum Suppliers return to Harrogate

The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers, (FPS), have chosen Harrogate International Centre, (HIC), as their exhibition and conference venue for 2009, 2011 and 2014. The Federation is the trade association for the oil distribution industry and ancillary interests in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.  It provides members with a collective voice for the industry at national level, provides services to assist members in optimising their business efficiencies and promotes best practice in the industry.

FPS members provide oil to agricultural, marine, industrial and commercial sites for use in heating, power and transport. They are responsible for almost all deliveries of heating oil to end users in the UK.

Alison Griffin, Deputy Director and Head of Marketing, at Harrogate International Centre is delighted to confirm the exhibition and conference contract saying, “The FPS are old friends of HIC’s having exhibited here several times in the past. Securing their business through to 2014 is testimony to the dedication shown by our Event Teams, who offer a bespoke service to all our clients to ensure every show is better than the last.

Speaking for the Federation, Vanessa Cook, Marketing and Events Manager said, “FPS EXPO is pleased to secure their return to the Harrogate International Centre, it is the number one venue choice with our exhibitors and delegates. The combination of venue facilities, hotels and an abundance of bars and restaurants on the door step make it the ideal location for our event.”

Harrogate International Centre is the largest integrated conference, exhibition and entertainment venue in the region, centrally located in this stylish spa town. HIC has a 2,000 seat auditorium, 16,500 sq m of exhibition space and attracts over 250,000 business visitors each year. Plans for a £48m redevelopment scheme were announced earlier this year by Director Stuart Quin, saying, “Like any responsible, forward-thinking organisation, the HIC needs to constantly evolve to meet the needs of our clients and guests. The proposals will ensure that our venue will continue to deliver the fantastic value and service for which we are already recognised, but with an even more competitive edge.”
