York telecoms company brings local businesses world-class Internet connectivity

Local telecommunications and IT company York Data Services have invested over a quarter of a million pounds into bringing new fast and reliable Internet connection to businesses in the York area. York Data Services have installed two gigabit fibre links which connect directly to the UK’s national Internet hub in London’s docklands. These links will bring high-speed, reliable Internet connection to York Data Services’ Data Centre in the York Science Park which will then be supplied to local businesses.
This new technology will allow local businesses and business park owners to have access to world-class telecom services normally associated with London companies. The link will also help to bring inward investment from national companies who will see York as a viable place to locate their business.
The investment to upgrade York Data Services national network will provide reliable fibre-based Internet connection between London and North Yorkshire, putting the region on the map for super fast Internet access. The connections will also provide improved service to the hundred plus businesses that already experience fast fibre broadband connectivity from York Data Services.
York Data Services specialise in providing Internet connectivity and IT support to businesses across North Yorkshire. The company is based on the York Science Park and the technology they provide has helped to attract and retain many of York’s important businesses.
