The theory of Evolution
Wednesday 7th October 2009
Fledgling business are being sought for a new state of the art development in North Yorkshire.
A recruitment campaign is underway to sign up businesses for the £2.4 million scheme, called Evolution, near Northallerton, which is being heralded as key to helping new enterprise beat the difficult economic climate during the recession.
The development will house as many as 30 new businesses in the centre, which will be located on the County Business Park off Darlington Road, and it is hoped the first tenants will be in before Christmas.
Its offices will be set around a central atrium and will vary in size, allowing business to grow in their first few years without having to move on. As well as providing administrative services, Evolution Business Centre will also provide business support to its occupants.
Many eco-friendly features are incorporated in its design, such as light optimising windows, solar panels and water collection tanks to re-use water. The centre will include a conference room and two meeting rooms with multimedia facilities available for use by the centre’s tenants and other.
Evolution has been funded by Yorkshire Forward, the European Regional Development Fund and Hambleton District Council.
